The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has formally announced that the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction will be held at the Coca-Cola Arena in Dubai on December 19th. The Coca-Cola arena in Dubai is well known for hosting high-profile events, including concerts and various sporting events. It is noteworthy that this marks the inaugural instance of an IPL auction being conducted outside India.

According to ESPN cricinfo, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced an extension of the deadline for releasing the list of retained players. The new date is set for November 26, as opposed to the previous deadline of November 15.
The 10 franchises participating in the IPL shall adhere to a salary ceiling of INR 100 crore. This season signifies the culmination of a three-year agreement for each player, with a mega auction slated for the following year.
